Patented Efficacy Engine®
The world's first AI-powered ingredient grading system that delivers evidence-based "Green for Go, Red for NO!" decisions for every food, supplement, and meal.
Instant Decision Technology
Our patented system analyzes ingredients against clinical evidence to provide instant, actionable recommendations.
How the Efficacy Engine® Works
The Efficacy Engine is a revolutionary tool that utilizes a team of experts and nationally recognized medical data to assign letter grades (A, B, C, D, E, F) to ingredients based on how effective they are for specific health conditions and wellness goals.
"Green for Go, Red for NO!" - Our simple decision framework empowers consumers with instant, evidence-based recommendations for food, supplements, beverages, recipes, and meal plans.
Because all foods, supplements, and recipes in our database have every ingredient graded, these scores combine to create a comprehensive product report card showing effectiveness for preventing and treating specific medical conditions.

AI-Powered Analysis
Advanced algorithms process thousands of clinical studies to generate accurate ingredient efficacy scores
Unbiased Recommendations
Every grade is based on peer-reviewed research from independent medical institutions

Efficacy Defined
"The extent to which a specific intervention, procedure, regimen, or service produces a beneficial result under ideal conditions"
Medical Definition of Efficacy
The word "efficacy" is a term most commonly used in medicine with a specific meaning. It applies to prescription pharmaceuticals where claims are supported by extensive clinical studies that must pass FDA scrutiny before being certified as legitimate.
In a world of products unregulated by the FDA, the word has equal meaning but potentially greater importance as to the legitimacy of product claims. Food for Health is committed to providing unbiased product recommendations whose ingredients have efficacy and are legitimately effective.
Our Commitment
Our Efficacy Engine uses graded medical evidence to provide a list of products that have the intended effect. Consumers are empowered with the knowledge as to what to expect the results could be, backed by rigorous clinical research.
Important Note
Even in pharmacology, prescription medications may not have equal effectiveness from person to person. We rely upon physicians, pharmacists, and scientists to deliver the most likely results. Each person has their unique chemistry that results in the efficacy of pharmaceutical medications or the products we recommend.
The Detailed Grading System
Our comprehensive six-grade system evaluates ingredients based on clinical evidence quality, study size, bias assessment, and consistency of outcomes.
Effective
This product has a very high level of reliable clinical evidence supporting its use for a specific indication. Evidence consistent with or equivalent to passing FDA review. Multiple randomized clinical trials with hundreds to thousands of patients. Studies have low risk of bias and high validity. Evidence consistently shows POSITIVE outcomes without valid evidence to the contrary.
Probably Effective
High level of reliable clinical evidence supporting its use. Multiple randomized clinical trials or meta-analysis including several hundred patients. Studies have low risk of bias and high validity. Evidence consistently shows POSITIVE outcomes without significant valid evidence to the contrary.
Marginally Effective
Some clinical evidence supporting its use; however, evidence is limited by quantity, quality, or contradictory findings. One or more randomized trials or population-based studies. Low to moderate risk of bias. Evidence shows POSITIVE outcomes, with valid positive evidence outweighing contrary evidence.
Possibly Ineffective
Some clinical evidence showing ineffectiveness for a specific indication; however, evidence is limited by quantity, quality, or contradictory findings. One or more trials or studies with low to moderate bias risk. Evidence shows NEGATIVE outcomes without substantial contrary evidence.
Probably Ineffective
Very high level of reliable clinical evidence showing ineffectiveness. Multiple randomized clinical trials or meta-analysis with several hundred patients. Studies have low risk of bias and high validity. Evidence consistently shows NEGATIVE outcomes without significant valid evidence to the contrary.
Ineffective / Hazardous
Very high level of reliable clinical evidence showing ineffectiveness or potential harm. Multiple randomized trials with hundreds to thousands of patients. Studies have low risk of bias and high validity. Evidence consistently shows NEGATIVE outcomes without any valid evidence to the contrary.
